William M. Craven

William M. Craven, for many preceding 1920, a farmer near Kennard, died Sunday at his home, 1824 No. 48th Street in Omaha. Surviving him are his wife, Cora; one son, William; six daughters, Mabel, Edna, Gladys, Agnes, Adaline, and Roseanne; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Livingston, Mrs. Margaret Brown, Mrs. James Dolan and Mrs. Hannah Hubbard; and four brothers, Dennis and John of Omaha, Thomas of Laurel, Nebr., and Charles of Osmond. Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning followed by a service at St. Cecelia Church. Burial was made in an Omaha cemetery. Mr. Craven and his family left this vicinity in 1920 going to Osmond where they farmed. Mr. Craven, who was 58, had lived in Omaha for several years.

#2-21 May, 1931 - The Enterprise WILL CRAVEN DIES AT HOME IN OMAHA Word was received Sunday evening of the death that morning of Will Craven, 58, at his home in Omaha. As a boy Mr. Craven lived in Washington County and attended the Maney school where his niece, Miss Alice French, taught this past year. He was married to Miss Cora M. French and she, with their seven children, William, Mabel, Edna, Gladys, Agnes, Adeline and Roseanne, survive him. Four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Livingston, Mrs. Mary Brown, Mrs. James Dolan and Mrs. Hannah Hubbard; four brothers, Dennis and John, Omaha; Thomas of Laurel and Charles at Osmond, Neb.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Hoffman mortuary chapel at 8:30 a.m. and St. Cecelia church at 9 a.m., with burial in Holy Sepulcher cemetery.

At one time Mr. Craven operated a livery stable in Kennard before he went to Omaha to reside.
