Oscar A. Crawford died at Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, on the morning of the 5th of March, 1890 at the age of 27 years and 11 months.

The subject of this notice was born at Cerrogards, Illinois, where his parents then resided. From his birth place the family moved to Chrisman, the same state, where his mother took her exit to the brighter side of life, a number of years ago. His father is still living at the latter place to which the remains will be forwarded for interment in the family lot. Five brothers and sister, with the father, and numerous relatives and friends are left to mourn the loss of this young man.

Mr. Crawford was a young man of excellent habits and morals, therefore, his exit from earth must prove a great loss to society on this side of life’s river.

Two sisters of the deceased reside here with whom he has made his home, one of whom is the wife, of Prof. David and the other, teacher in the intermediate department of our city schools.

Heaven comfort the sorrowing ones, M. E. Taylor
