Mother of Former Blair Man Died Last Thursday

Mrs. Antonia L. Studeny, 86, formerly of Blair and Verdigre, died Thursday at the St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church at Verdigre. Rev. Charles Oborny officiated. Rosary was recited Friday evening at Stalp Mortuary at West Point with Father E. Abler of West Point.

Born at Verdigre, May 6, 1884, the former Antonia Maly married Frank Studeny October 14, 1902. She was a member of the Catholic Workmen and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church at Verdigre. She was a resident of the West Point Nursing home for two years.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Eric Schulz of Pasco, Washington, Mrs. Fred Gelster of West Point, Nebraska, and one son, former Blairite, Adolph Studeny of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mr. Studeny preceded her death in 1964.

Burial was at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery at Verdigre.
