Ida A. Stuenkel, 94

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 27 at Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Hooper for Ida A. Stuenkel, 94, who died August 23, 1996 at the Hooper Care Center in Hooper. Rev. Rodney Meske will officiate. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Ida A. Stuenkel was born June 4, 1902 in Washington County to Edward and Katharyn Panning Stuenkel. She lived all her life in the Hooper area and had resided at the Hooper Care Center since January of 1991.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church; the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League; Jolly Friendship Club and was a former member of the Walther League.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Esther Pawling and three brothers, Harry Stuenkel, Walt Stuenkel and Howard Stuenkel.

She is survived by a niece, LaRae (Mrs. Duane) Moseman of Hooper and two nephews and their wives, Duane and Mildred Pawling of Hooper and Dale and Marion Pawling of Fremont.

Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Hooper Care Center.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
