HOMER A. WRIGHT SERVICES HELD AT KENNARD

Homer A. Wright, 75, died shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday at the Dick Stricklett home at Blair. Although he had been bedfast since being taken to the Stricklett home his condition was not considered critical.

Mr. Wright was born June 9, 1860, in New York state where he grew to manhood, coming to Kennard in 1896 to go into the general mercantile business with his brother, Chas. L. Wright, now of Verbank Village, N. Y. He sold his interest to E. C. Nelson to go into the drayage business. About 10 years ago he retired from active work.

His marriage to Mrs. Mary Jane Jones occurred February 8, 1905. Mrs. Wright died 10 years ago. He is survived by two step-daughters, Mrs. Carl Ward of Kennard and Blanche Jones of Hastings. Also his brother, Chas L., another brother and a number of sisters, nieces and nephews all in New York state.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Kennard Methodist church, with burial in the Kennard cemetery.

H.A. Wright passed away Saturday afternoon at the Dick Stricklett home in Blair, where he was being cared for. Mr. Wright had been ill for some time having been afflicted with heart trouble.. Several years ago he was associated with his brother, C. L. Wright in the general merchandise business on the corner where the Berry Bros. store is now located. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock with Rev. E. P. Booher officiating. Interment was (nothing more printed)
