Mrs. Ray Krogh Died Late Monday

Mrs. Ray Krogh, well known and long-time Blair resident, died late Monday afternoon at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. She was 69 years old.

Leta Antonette Krogh was born at Seward, Nebraska, September 30th, 1894. She grew to womanhood in the Seward area and was married to Ray F. Krogh in Omaha in 1916. The couple moved to Blair in 1925 and her home has been here most of the time since that date.

Mrs. Krogh was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Welcome Rebekah Lodge and for many years she took an active part in their work. She was also a faithful and active member of the Congregational Church where she took a special interest in the work done by the women of the Ladies Social Union.

Her husband, the late Ray Krogh, preceded her in death two years ago and since that time she has lived alone in her home in south Blair. She has suffered failing health for a number of months.

Saturday she experienced a paralytic stroke from which she failed to rally. Death came late Monday afternoon.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Congregational Church with the Rev. Clare Olney in charge of the service. Burial, under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary, was made in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Krogh is survived by a son, Bob Krogh, of Blair and three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Jansen, of Grand Island, Mrs. Marion Shaw, of Woodland Hills, California, and Mrs. Marjorie Hansen, of Tracy, California.

Pall Bearers at the service were Philip O’Hanlon, J. Merton Kuhr, Roy Paulson, Ray Hewett, Arthur Westerfield and Oakley Krogh.
