Services Are Today

Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon for Emil Krohn, 81, who died Monday, March 15th at Fremont. He had been hospitalized there for a number of months.

*_____ Krohn was born in Ger *_____ March 20, 1883 and came *________ county with his parents in 1889. The family settled in the west part of Washington and this area remained his home through his entire life.

Until 1946 Mr. Krohn farmed 9 miles west of Herman and at that time he retired and moved to Winslow which became his home.

He was married to Margaretha Whittman September 30th, 1914 and to this union four sons were born. He is survived by his wife, and the sons are Elmer and Orland Krohn, of Herman, Harold Krohn of Craig and Rev. Paul Krohn, of Lincoln, Nebraska. There are nine grandchildren. Mr. Krohn was the last of a family of 8 children, 4 brothers and three sisters having preceded him in death.

Funeral services are at the Emmanuel Lutheran church of which he had been a member for many years. Burial is being made in the church cemetery.
