Long Time County Woman Is Dead

Mrs. Emil Krohn, a long-time resident of Washington County, died late Tuesday at the Fremont hospital. She had been under care in the department for care for the elderly for two years.

Mrs. Krohn was born May 1, 1882 at Evanston, Indiana but came to Nebraska as a young girl. On September 30, 1914 she was married to Emil Krohn and the couple settled on a farm in the vicinity of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in the west part of Washington County. They lived there until 1946 when they retired and moved to Winslow where Mr. Krohn died in 1965.

She is survived by four sons, Elmer and Orland Krohn of Herman, Herold Krohn of Craig and the Rev. Paul Krohn of Lincoln. There are nine grandchildren. Four sisters, of the Hooper and Fremont area also survive as well as one brother who lives in Fremont.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 P.M. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Winslow with the Rev. Henry Stoll conducting the service. Burial will be made in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Wollmer and Warne Funeral Home of Hooper.

The body will lie in state at the Funeral Home in Hooper on Thursday from 1 to 9 P.M. and at the church on Friday from 12:30 until the time of the service.
