Former Blair Area Man Died April 7

Olaf Kronberg, who was born at Rose Hill northwest of Blair December 20, 1897, died in Omaha Thursday, April 7, 1977, at the age of 80.

Services were held Tuesday April 12, at St. Cecilia’s Cathedral in Omaha. Interment was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

His wife, Annie, and two sisters, Lena Gunderson of Dix, Nebraska, and Hanna Carmichael, preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters, Arlene Umland of Hanford, California, and Iona Bachman of Denison, Iowa; and five sons, Melvin G. Kronberg of Lincoln, Nebraska, Arnold L. Kronberg, Robert O. Kronberg aof Omaha, Richard L. Kronberg of Sargus, California. One brother, Elmer Kronberg of Blair; two sisters, Mrs. Christine Hanthron of North Platte, Nebraska; Carrie Gunderson of Sidney, Nebraska; seventeen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren also survive him.

Pallbearers for the services were David Kronberg, Roy Kronberg, Kenneth Kronberg, Roy Bangert, Wyatt Groves and Fred Backman.
