Sharon “Kitty” June Norbeck Eich died Sunday August 16, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services will be held Thursday August 20, 2015 at First Lutheran Church in Blair at 10:30 AM. Graveside services will be held in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday August 19, 2015 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home beginning at 3:00 PM with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM.

Sharon “Kitty” June Norbeck Eich was born on November 10, 1928 in Miami, Florida to Frank and Sharon Bragg. She met Weldon “Lucky” Norbeck and the couple was married on August 12, 1945 in Oakland, Nebraska. To this union 3 children were born, Linda, Weldon “Little Lucky” Jr. and Cindy. Her son Lucky preceded her in death in 1967 and her husband Weldon in 1984. Kitty worked at Omaha Public Schools as a dietitian for many years. In 1976 the family moved to Blair where she was employed at Dana College until her retirement in 1989. In 1990 she married John Eich and the couple made their home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. John preceded her in death in 2000. In 2001 Kitty moved back to Blair to be closer to her children.

The love of her life was always her children and grandchildren. When she lost her vision, she focused all of her energy on her family. Kitty was the matriarch of the family and was always involved with her family’s lives. The last 11 years of her life were spent focusing on her youngest twin grandchildren Cole and Claire.

Kitty loved to shop, attend her grandchildren’s activities and go on her weekly outings to get her hair styled.

She is survived by her daughters: Linda Ryley and Cindy Christensen and her beloved son-in-law Paul Christensen; grandchildren: Kimberly Johnson, Gary Ryley Jr., Jamie Lyytikainen, Cole and Claire Christensen; 10 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 39 years Weldon “Lucky” Norbeck, son Weldon “Little Lucky” Norbeck and husband John Eich.

Funeral Services 10:30 am Thursday at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home beginning at 3 pm with family receiving friends from 6-8 pm.
