MRS. L. H. KJOLLER DIED APRIL 21

Mrs. L. H. Kjoller passed away quietly in her home on West Nebraska street on Monday morning, April 21, after being bedfast for about a month. She was born in Skaane, Sweden, Oct. 13, 1862; moved to Denmark with her parents at the age of six; and came to American when about twenty years old. For a while she served as attendant in various mental hospitals. In Chicago, she met L. H. Kjoller, then a student, and on September 2, 1894, the couple was joined in marriage. After graduation from Trinity Seminary in 1899, the couple served in the ministry for forty years as follows: Dwight and McNabb, Illinois, 1899 to 1906; Westby, Montana, 1906 to 1911, 1917 to 1922, 1934 to 1939; Blair, 1911 to 1917; Doane Valley, Montana, 1922 to 1924; Standard, Alberta, Canada, 1924 to 1928; Rolfe and Callender, Iowa, 1928 to 1934. Since September of 1939 the Kjollers have lived in Blair.

Mrs. Kjoller became the mother of six children, three of whom passed away in infancy. Those who survive are Mrs. Einer Romer of Winnipeg, Canada; John Kjoller of Blair; and Joseph Kjoller of Dayton, Ohio. She is also survived by her husband and several grandchildren; as well as by one sister and two brothers in Denmark. Two sisters and a brother who came to American, preceded her in death.

The funeral services were held at the home on West Nebraska street and in the First Lutheran Church on April 24th. Rev. H. C. Jorgensen, assisted by Dr. N. C. Carlsen, conducted the services. Burial was made in Blair cemetery. Bendorf Mortuary was in charge of the funeral arrangements.

LUTHERAN SERVICES THIS AFTERNOON FOR WIFE OF RETIRED MINISTER

Mrs. L. H. Kjoller, 84, wife of a retired Lutheran minister, died Monday at the family home, 602 W. Nebraska St. She had been bedfast about a month.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon at First Lutheran Church, following brief prayer services at the home. The Rev. H. C. Jorgensen is officiating, assisted by Dr. N. C. Carlsen. Burial, with arrangements in charge of the Bendorf Funeral Home, is to be in Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Kjoller was born in Skaane, Sweden, October 13, 1862 and moved to Denmark with her parents at the age of six. When about 20 years old she came to America and for a time served as a nurse attendant at various mental hospitals.

In Chicago she met L. H. Kholler, then a student, and on September 2, 1894, they were married. After his graduation from Trinity Seminary in Blair in 1899, the couple served 40 years in the ministerial field. They were located at Dwight and McNabb, Ill.; Westby, Mont.; Blair (1911 to 1917); Dane Valley, Mont; Standard, Alberta, Canada; Rolfe and Callender, Ia. Since September 1939, the Kjollers have lived in Blair.
