FORMER FT. CALHOUN RESIDENT DIED IN OMAHA JULY 2

Hazel Lydia Cachelin, a former Ft. Calhoun resident, died Friday July 2nd at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

She was born at New Hartford, Iowa January 28, 1893, but had lived many years in the Ft. Calhoun area and is remembered by many of the older residents. She lived in Ft. Calhoun most of her life but has lived at Manley, Nebraska for the past ten years.

She was the wife of Edward G. Cachelin who has preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Urban of Anchorage, Alaska and by Charles of Charleston Heights, South Carolina. There are four daughters, Mrs. George (Thelma) Bigg, of Ten-Mile, Tenn.; Mrs. Wade (Frances) Sheppard, of Ralston, Nebr.; Mrs. Raymond (Illa) NcNew of Murdoch, Nebr.; and Mrs. Richard (Joann) Crofton, of Louisville, Nebraska.

There are 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 6th at the Fusselman-Perry Funeral Home, Louisville, Nebraska. Grandsons were pallbearers. Burial was made in the Ft. Calhoun cemetery.
