George Benck Died At Lincoln October 28th

Funeral services were held November 1, 1976 for George Benck, a former Fort Calhoun, Nebr., resident. He died at Lincoln, Nebraska, on October 28, 1976. The deceased was born at Ft. Calhoun, Nebr., October 3, 1897 to George, Sr. and Lena Benck, and was 79 years of age when he died.

He was united in marriage on November 12, 1919 to Sarah Mary Schneider. They farmed at Ft. Calhoun and Blair for many years, then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1957 where he worked in construction until retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah, one son, Myron Benck of Fremont, Nebraska; two daughters, Mrs. George Buck (Dorothy) of Lincoln, Nebraska and Mrs. William Graverholt (Marjorie) of Seattle, Washington; six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. His parents and sister Clara, preceded him in death.

Services were held Monday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home with Elder Dale Wolf officiating; burial was at Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials were donated to the heart fund.

Pallbearers were Duane Benck, Donald Buck, James Graverholt, Gary Ruzek, Richard Kuenning and Ben Garner.
