Funeral services for Sarah (Schneider) Benck will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 30, at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Sarah, 84, died in Mt. Vernon, Washington, near where her daughter Marjorie Graverholt lives in Seattle. Other survivors include daughter Dorothy Buck of Lincoln and son Myron Benck of Fremont; sisters Eva Garner and Marie Kuenning, both of Lincoln; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Church elder Dale Wolf will conduct the ceremony Thursday, with burial at Lincoln Memorial Park.

Sarah and her husband George Benck farmed in the Blair area before moving to Lincoln.

Services held for Sarah Benck

Sarah Schneider Benck of Lincoln died at Seattle, Washington on August 26, 1984. She was born August 5, 1900, the daughter of Ernest and Emma Schneider, near Blair. She was married to George Benck on November 12, 1919 who preceded her in death, along with two brothers, Gustav and Peter.

She is survived by children William and Marge Graverhold of Seattle, Washington; George and Dorothy Benck of Lincoln; Myron and Maxine Benck of Fremont; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by brother, Henry Schneider of Omaha, and two sisters, Marie Kuenning and Eva Garner of Lincoln.
