LIFETEME RESIDENT OF WASHINGTON DIED AT BLAIR

Mrs. Carrie Sophia Olson, wife of Peter Olson, died at the Blair Hospital Wednesday, June 15. She was 82 years of age.

Mrs. Olson was considered a lifetime resident of Washington, Nebraska, in the South part of Washington County although she spent some time at Hamburg, Iowa, and in San Francisco, California. She was born in Washington February 18, 1895, to Niels and Karen Andersen. She married Peter Olsen at Washington March 11, 1914. She was a member of Kennard Emmaus Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband Peter and by two grandchildren, Mrs. Sandra Orantes and Daniel Hoffman, both of whom live in California.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Edna C. Champion, who died July 6, 1976, and by four brothers and one sister. There were no other children.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon, June 29th at 2 p.m. at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. The Rev. Wayne Josephson will conduct the service.

Burial will be made in the Prairie View Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.

Pallbearers for the services are Ray Andersen, Henry Kroeger, Eric Knudsen, Louis Heger, Alvin Andersen, and Robert Jensen.
