Jerry Lynn Anderson

Jerry Lynn Anderson, age 65 of Nixa, passed away, August 22, 2015. He was born October 20, 1949 in Blair, Nebraska, the son of Roscoe and Helen (Roberts) Anderson.

On September 11, 1971 Jerry and Pamela Buchardt were united in marriage.

Jerry was a 1967 graduate of Arlington High School. After graduation Jerry served his country from 1968-1972 in the U. S. Navy, including four tours of duty in Vietnam. While in the Navy Jerry was stationed on the U.S. Samuel Gompers and later the U.S.S. Ernest G. Small. After serving the military, Jerry worked in the telephone business for several companies holding various positions throughout his career, after retirement Jerry worked for Tom Kissee Real Estate and South Creek Development.

Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed golf, fishing and most of all meeting people and visiting. He never met a stranger.

Survivors include: his wife, Pamela, Nixa; children, Kristy Carter and husband Jeff, Nixa, and son Gregory Anderson and wife Sarah, Steamboat Springs, Colorado; five grandchildren, Caige Carter, Camryn Carter, Drake Anderson, Callie Anderson and Morgan Lott; one brother, William Anderson and wife Glenda, Kennard, Nebraska; and a sister-in-law Joyce Anderson, Kennard, Nebraska.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert L. Anderson.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 26, 2015 in Redeemer Lutheran Church, Springfield under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Duane Maas officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - until service time Wednesday in the church.
