Mrs. Elizabeth M. Berry, 89, Dies

Kennard lost one of its long-time residents this week in death of Mrs. Elizabeth M. Berry, 89 years of age. She had been in failing health for some time.

Mrs. Berry was born in Denmark in 1873 and came to this country at an early age. She was 14 years old when she came to Kennard and that place has been her home all of her life.

Mrs. Berry is survived by two sons, Leslie T. of Omaha and: Charles L. of Tekamah; and by two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte E. Ward, of Kennard and Mrs. Helen J. Kremer, of Omaha. A sister, Mrs. Ellen Leesberg, resides at Sacramento, California.

There are three granddaughters; Mrs. Kenneth Hunter, Kennard, Nebraska, Mrs. Mason Hallett, Hazelcrest, Illinois, Mrs. Jack Dufec, Denver, Colorado; two grandsons, W. H. Ward of Omaha, Leslie H. Berry, New York City; six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Friday, at 10:30 am at the Kennard Methodist Church and interment will be made in the Kennard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Fritz Andreasen and, Leonard Petersen, all of Kennard, Frank Byers of Blair, John Marshall of Arlington and Ernest Nordin, of Omaha.
