Services On Tuesday For Albert Bensen

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 7, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum for Albert N. Bensen, 71, who died April 4, 1981, at Memorial Hospital in Fremont.

Rev. Russell Saltzman will conduct the services. Burial will be at Lincoln Lutheran Cemetery at Orum.

Albert N. Bensen was born June 12, 1909, in Washington County to Chris and Minnie Paulsen Bensen. He married LeNetta Gnuse in Blair on January 10, 1932. A lifetime resident of Washington County, he was a retired farmer.

He was a member of the Orum Lutheran Church and has served as President of the congregation several times. He had been their secretary for twenty years. He was a past state president of the Farm Bureau and had been on the Washington County Election Board for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, LeNetta, of Arlington; and three sons, Robert Bensen, Homer, Idaho; James Bensen, Blair and Donald Bensen, Littletown, Colorado. Two brothers, Orville Bensen, Fremont, and Joe Jessen, Blair; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survived him.

Pallbearers are Mark Bensen, Rodney Stork, Larry Petersen, David Hilgenkamp, Kenneth Gruenke, Alvin Katt and William Bisbee.

Mrs. Jack Jensen will be organist for the services. Jack Jensen will be soloist.

A memorial fund has been established.

Reckmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
