LaNetta A. Bensen, 94

LeNetta A. Bensen, 94, of Blair, died April 25, 2005, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 28, 2005, at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Orum. Interment was at the Orum Cemetery.

LeNetta A. Bensen was born April 5, 1911, in Washington County to Herman and Adela (Brunkow) Gnuse. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran and Bisbee Schools.

On Jan. 10, 1932, she married Albert Bensen. They farmed in the Orum area from 1932 until 198, when they moved to Arlington.

Mrs. Bensen was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday School for 47 years, and for 40 years, she was the Sunday School superintendent. She enjoyed yard work, especially working with her flowers. Her hands quilted blankets for many people.

Mrs. Bensen had lived at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home since 1998.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jessie of Menan, Idaho, Jim and Susan of Blair, and Don and Karma of Highlands Ranch, Colo., eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marge Hilgenkamp of Arlington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1981; and a sister, Ada Wood.

Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Orum, or the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Preceded in death by husband, Albert; sister, Ada Wood.

VISITATION will begin 9 am Wed with family present from 6-8pm with PRAYER SERVICE at 7:30pm. SERVICE THURS 10:30am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Orum, NE. Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Orum or Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.
