Word has been reached in Herman by Mr. J. H. Johnson announcing the death last Wednesday by drowning in the Blue River at Belvidere, Nebr., of Otis Crouch, at one time a resident here and a respected employee of J. H. Johnson when he was conducting drug store. Burial took place Friday. The news of the untimely death of Mr. Crouch will be learned by his many friends here with no little regret.

An extract from a letter to Mr. Johnson, written by Mrs. J. B. Strackhouse and which is here quoted needs no explanation. “Otis was drowned Wednesday morning at six o’clock in the Blue river. He was buried Friday evening at five o’clock.”
