FORMER BLAIR LADY PASSES AWAY

Word received by Blair friends Wednesday conveyed the news of the death of Mrs. C. C. Crowell of Los Angeles, Calif. at the age of eighty years.

Mrs. Crowell has been seriously ill for the past five weeks, having submitted to an operation at that time.

The Crowells were well known to the earlier residents of Blair, having lived here for many years, Mr. Crowell, now deceased, being the head of the Crowell Lumber and Grain Company here as well as at other points in the state. When the family removed to California, the beautiful family home was presented as a Memorial Home to the Methodist denomination, of which Mrs. Crowell was a faithful and active member.

The Home stands in our midst today as a reminder of the beautiful Christian character of the deceased and has been a source of joy and comfort to many people during the past years.

The children who remain to mourn the loss of their mother are Mrs. Lillian Weaver, of Spokane, Wash., Harland of Olympia, Wash., Nathan, of Stuart, Nebr., and Chris of Omaha. All of them spent their happy childhood days in Blair and are kindly remembered by Blair friends who extend sympathy to them in their bereavement.
