Her headstone lists the spelling of her first name as Retta.

After an illness of about four weeks Mrs. Fred E. Crutsinger died at the Blair hospital last Thursday, March 26th. Her husband, one brother, Wm. Hamil Mrs. Chas., Miss Mae and Mrs. Ed Crutsinger were at her bedside when the end came. The funeral was held at the Crutsinger home, opposite of the Jacob Carter place in west Blair, at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, Rev. G. B. Warren officiating.

Ritta Hamil was born at Lincoln, Ill., March 19, 1885, and was therefore just past 29 years of age. She was married to Fred E. Crutsinger in Tekamah April, 24th, 1904, and of this union nine children were born, five of whom are now living. Besides the husband and one brother above mentioned she is survived by her father, two half sisters, and on half brother.
