Services for Rolland G. Cunningham, 63 of Fremont and formerly of the Fontanelle area who died December 1, 1995 at the Veteran’s Medical Center in Omaha are 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 5 at the Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle. Rev. Charles W. Bichel is officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church Tuesday an hour before service time.

Rolland G. Cunningham was born near Kennard on the family farm August 13, 1932 to William and Matilda Carlsen Cunningham. He was a 1949 graduate of Arlington High School.

He farmed with his father until entering the Air Force in 1952. He served until 1956 and then returned to a farm near Fontanelle. He farmed there until 1982 when he went to work for E. W. “Dutch” Feuerstein. In 1988 he began working for Monke Bros. and was there until his health failed this year.

He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and had served on the Fontanelle School Board.

He married LaMar Kroenke in Snyder May 24, 1953.

He is survived by his wife, LaMar; two daughters, Sandy (Mrs. Terry) Nielsen of Bellevue and Jayne (Mrs. Neil) Gustafson of Fremont; a son, Randy Cunningham of Nickerson; two grandchildren and two brothers, Luvern Cunningham of Gahanna, Ohio and Russell Cunningham of Fontanelle.

Memorials are suggested to his church.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
