ATTEND KRUGER FUNERAL

Atty. Clark O-Hanlon, Tom Finnell and Tom Osterman drove over to the home of the late F.C. Kruger in Fontanelle township last Saturday and attended the funeral services. Short services were held first at the home and later at the Brown Creek* church north of Arlington. It was the largest funeral ever held in that part of the county and the church was crowded to overflowing. Mr. Krueger, while having ailed for some time, died very suddenly last Wednesday morning from a complication of Bright’s disease and gall stones. He had been suffering for about a year but until the Saturday preceding his death his condition had not been considered serious. He had been to Arlington Saturday and on returning home complained of feeling worse than usual and his condition continued to grow worse until the end. He leaves a wife, two children, one brother and three sisters. Mr. Kruger was born and raised on the farm on which he died and was about 35 years old. He was considered one of the most substantial young farmers of that community and was one of the most popular as well. The editor of the Democrat wishes to join with the family’s host of friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

• Brown Creek is now called St. Paul’s Lutheran Church

• Note: Since the actual death date was not given, the news article date was used.
