Harlan Kruger, 75

Services were at the Baptist Church in Herman Saturday, May 25 for Harlan F. Kruger, 75, of Herman who died May 22 at the Tekamah Nursing Center. Rev. Larry Orvis officiated the rite.

Burial was in Telbasta Cemetery near Arlington.

Harlan F. Kruger was born May 10, 1916, in Herman to Henry and Meta Hanke Kruger. He attended the New England School at rural Herman. After his education, he was engaged in farming.

He married Elizabeth Horton June 7, 1956 in LeMars, Iowa. They ____in the Herman area.

He was an active member of the Telbasta Evangelical United Brethren Church, involved with the Sunday School and held several offices of the church. Later he became a member of the Herman United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Jay Marlin and brother, Ernest Kruger.

Survivors include his wife of Tekamah; daughter, Gayle Hansen and husband, Jeff of Ames, Iowa; son, Gary and wife, Becky of Herman; sisters, Esther Parsons and husband, Ralph and Helen Kruger, all of Sioux City, Iowa; grandson, Eric Ellis and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Eugene Husk was organist and Lois Wachter was vocalist.

Pallbearers were Walter Blum, Dwain Jordan, Ewalt Hageman, John Kruger, Loren Hanke and Steve Kruger.
