Helen N. Kruger, 86, of Lakeland, Fla., died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at Wedgewood Health Care. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at Lake Gibson Church of the Nazarene in Lakeland, Fla.

Helen N. Kruger was born March 27, 1919, in Herman.

She lived in Sioux City, Iowa, for many years, where she was a bank clerk at Toy National Bank for more than 30 years.

Music was her hobby, and she played the piano and organ for church, sang duets with a friend, and volunteered as a part-time announcer at KTFC, a Christian radio station in Sioux City. In 1992, she moved to Lakeland.

She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Sioux City, and attended the Lake Gibson Nazarene Church.

She is survived by a sister, Esther Parsons of Sioux City, Iowa; nephew, Gary Kruger of Herman; nieces, Gayle Hansen of Greencastle, Ind., Barbara Peterson of Lincoln, and Beverly Thomsen of Sumner, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Jones of Lakeland.

Memorials are suggested to Lake Gibson Church of the Nazarene, church building fund, 6868 N. Socrum Loop Road, Lakeland, FL 33801.

Heath Funeral Chapel in Lakeland is in charge of arrangements.
