MRS. META KRUGER, 85, DIED IN FREMONT

Mrs. Meta Kruger, a long-time resident of the Herman area, died Thursday at the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont. Mrs. Kruger was 85 years of age. She had been ill but a short time.

She was born December 28, 1885 near Ithaca, Nebraska. In March of 1907 she was married to Henry Kruger and the couple settled on a farm near Herman. This continued to be their home until Mr. Kruger’s death in 1953. Mrs. Kruger remained on the farm until 1956 when she moved to Fremont.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Esther) Parsons and Miss Helen Kruger, both of Sioux City, Iowa. There are two sons, Ernest of Sioux City and Harlan Kruger of Herman. There are also four grandchildren, one great grandchild, 2 sisters, a brother and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Calvary United Methodist Church in Fremont. The Rev, Gary Schlosser conducted the service. Burial was made in the Telbasta Cemetery west of Herman under the direction of the Warne Funeral Home of Hooper.
