Norman Kruger, 77

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 at First United Methodist Church in Fremont for Norman Kruger, 77 who died March 3, 1990 at his rural Arlington home. Dr. Thomas Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 6.

Norman Kruger was born March 11, 1912 on the family farm near Telbasta and lived there all his life. He was the third generation to live there. The family’s fourth and fifth generations now live on the farm.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fremont. He had served on the School Board for Washington County District No. 14. He had also served on the Camp Fontanelle Board.

He married Marijo King April 9, 1950 at Walhalla, South Carolina.

He is survived by his wife, Marijo; a daughter, LuAnn (Mrs. Chris) Ruwe of Hooper, two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Jana Kruger and John and JaNelle Kruger, all of Arlington; ten grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Myrta Frahm of Fremont.

Pallbearers will be LeRoy Schafersman, David Sagehorn, Stanley Frahm, Glen Treptow, Gary Kruger and Ivan Doll.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donald King, Clarence Wilkening, Leonard Luebker, Roy Bauermeister and Larry Moravec.

Ludvigsen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements for the services.
