Allen Kruse, 84

Services were held at Nelson, Nebraska Friday, August 11 for Allen Kruse, 84 who died at Hastings, Nebraska August 8, 1995. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.

Allen Kruse was born at Herman January 23, 1911 to Chris and Christina Petersen Kruse. He graduated from the Herman High School with the class of 1929.

He was a veteran of World War II. He was employed for many years with the Soil Conservation Service.

He married Verna K. Herr of Humboldt, Nebraska on June 11, 1940. They lived in Nelson for 45 years and in 1992 retired in Hastings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Verna, who died November 21, 1994.

He is survived by his two daughters, Karen George of Des Moines, Iowa and Dayle Ann Jensen and her husband, Jim of Marengo, Iowa; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Numerous cousins who live in Blair, Herman, Tekamah, Fremont and Omaha also survive him.
