Donna D. Kruse, 71

Donna D. Kruse, 71, of Kansas City, Mo., died Jan.22, 2001, in Kansas City, Mo., following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Because of unfavorable weather conditions earlier in the year, the memorial service was rescheduled, and will now be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 26 at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church.

Donna D. Kruse was born April 10, 1929, in Fort Calhoun to Emil and Bertha Kruse. She was raised in the Fort Calhoun area, and graduated from Fort Calhoun High School. She spent some time living in Omaha before moving to Kansas City.

Miss Kruse belonged to numerous environmental organizations. She was a docent at the Kansas City Zoo, and volunteer at the Kansas City Toy and Miniature Museum.

Miss Kruse was very thankful for the help and support she received from relatives and friends during her illness.

She is survived by an aunt, Madge (Mrs. Tom) Whitney of Omaha, aunts, Dolly, Phyllis and Effie Thompson of Blair, niece, Karen Autin-Weeks of Vermont, two nephews, Bill and Michael Head, and a great-nephew, Bryan head, all of Texas, and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Jeanne Margaret Head.

Memorials are suggested to Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun is in charge of arrangements.
