Emil Kruse Dies Following Traffic Accident Thursday

Emil Kruse, 75, a resident of the rural Kennard area, died Saturday at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair of injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Mr. Kruse was making a left hand turn into his farm house when his car was struck by one driven by Walter H. Craign of Winnetka, Ill. Mr. Kruse lived 4 miles south of the Highway 30 and 31 intersection west of Kennard.

Mr. Kruse was born January 9, 1898, near Bennington. He grew up in that area and lived his entire life in nearby rural area. He had been a farmer all of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Dora, and by two sons, Vern and Elvin Kruse, both of Bennington. Mrs. John Harder, of Kennard, is a sister. He also has four brothers. They are: William Kruse of Fremont; Herman, of Bennington and Chris and Henry, both of Omaha.

Funeral services will be held at the Swanson Funeral Home at Elkhorn on Tuesday, March 13. The Rev. Norman Schroeder conducted the service and interment was made in the Elk City Cemetery.
