Funeral services for George F. Arterburn, who died March 22, 1990 at Crowell Memorial Home, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 26, at the First Christian Church with burial in the Blair Cemetery. Rev. Owen Wilmot officiated.

George F. Arterburn was born December 27, 1897 at Renfrow, Oklahoma to Archibald and Nannie Emma Owens Arterburn. He lived in Oklahoma until he married Anna L. Postlewait on October 10, 1919 in Medford, Oklahoma.

They moved to Blair in 1935 where George worked on the river as a superintendent of construction. He retired in 1975 and has resided in the Crowell Home for the last ten years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife Anna; son, Robert of Blair; daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma and Carl Vittitoe of Bellevue and Patricia and R.F. Holcomb of Ridgewood, New Jersey; five grandchildren and one sister, Esther Lausch of Garden City, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
