Paul W. Kruse, 94

Funeral services were Wednesday, December 27 at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church in Fort Calhoun for Paul W. Kruse who died at the Good Shepherd Home December 24, 1989. Rev. Kenneth Jensen officiated. Military services were held at the graveside prior to burial in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Paul W. Kruse was born April 17, 1895 to Henry and Magdalena Stark Kruse. He married Frieda Logemann on September 29, 1921.

He served his country in World War I from 1917-1919 but spent the rest of his life in Washington County where he farmed. He had been a resident of Good Shepherd Home since September, 1987.

He was a member of Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, and was treasurer of the Green School for many years. He was an agent for The Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Washington County and had been a member of the Fort Calhoun Cemetery Board. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No, 348 of Fort Calhoun.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frieda; a brother, Harry and two grandsons, Kenneth Bull and David Kruse.

He is survived by four children, Ruberta, who married Ray Kruse; and Verna, married to Richard Bull, all of Blair; Harley who married Teresa Pfeifer, of Harlan, Iowa; and Mylan, married to Corrine Bartels, of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska. Fifteen grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends also survive him.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
