Ruth L Suhr, 77

Services for Ruth L. Suhr, 77, of Fremont who died at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County, December 2, 1991, were Thursday, December 5 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Hooper. Rev. Rodney Meske officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Ruth Panning was born October 31, 1914 in Hooper. She attended Immanuel parochial School and graduated from Hooper High School in 1932. She lived in rural Arlington from 1940-84, and then moved to Fremont.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Hooper, its Ladies’ Aid and quilting group and the Senior Citizen Bowling League of Fremont.

She married Gordon Rabe September 1, 1940 in rural Hooper. He preceded her in death December 1, 1983.

She married John Suhr June 18, 1988 in rural Hooper.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, John Suhr; a son, Rodney Rabe of Arlington; a daughter, Mary (Mrs. Jim) Winterstein of Fremont; a step-daughter, Joan (Mrs. Dennis) Wittman of Scribner; four brothers, Victor, Ted, Art, and Irvin, all of Fremont; six grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established to the church and to the Dodge County Heart Association.

Warne-Johnson Funeral Home in Hooper was in charge of arrangements.
