Virginia B Suhr, 86

Washington County native Virginia B. Suhr, 86, of Mesa, Ariz., died Sunday, July 30, 2006, at Abounding Home Care in Mesa.

Funeral services were Thursday, Aug. 3, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Interment was Fremont’s Memorial Cemetery.

Virginia B. Suhr was born Feb. 27, 1920, in rural Kennard to John and Louise (Markmann) Vogt. She grew up on the farm near Kennard.

On Feb. 16, 1946, she married Irvin H. Suhr in Benson. The couple lived on a farm near Uehling until retiring and moving to Fremont in 1979. Mrs. Suhr had been living in Mesa for the past year.

Mrs. Suhr had been active in 4-H and was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at rural Hooper.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, LaNell and Bob Hawkins of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Sharon and Donald Reese of North Bend; brother, Duane Vogt of Kennard; sister, Ver Belle Eppler of Texas; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin, in 2004; a brother, Arthur Vogt; and a sister, Wanda Lou Vogt.
