Services for Emily Cameron Today

Funeral services for Emily A. (Van Valin) Cameron of Herman are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 at the Herman Methodist Church. Rev. Larry Orvis will officiate with organist Grace Husk and vocalist Lois Wachter. Burial will follow at the Herman Cemetery.

Emily was born in Burt County Oct. 19, 1906, and married Whit Cameron in March of 1928 in Omaha. He preceded her in death.

Emily, 77, was a homemaker, a member of the Herman United Methodist Church, Circle One Club of the United Methodist Woman, Jolly Workers Club, and the Jackson Peck Auxiliary Post 274.

Her parents were Charles and Nell (Curley) Van Valin.

Surviving relatives include her sister Mrs. Harold (Gladys) Orr of Paso Robles, California, brother Carroll Van Valin of Wakefield, sons Joe Cameron of Herman and Gene Cameron of Yucaipa, California, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Bob Hardy, Lyle Hindley, Darrel Kuhlmann, Merlin Oerman, Robert Rasmussen and Lyle Thielfoldt.
