Funeral services were Wednesday, January 6, at First United Methodist Church in Blair for Amelia Marie Curley, 77, who died at Blair Memorial Community Hospital on January 3, 1982.

Rev. Gordon Patterson conducted the services. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Amelia Marie Curley was born to Jens and Lena Jensen Petersen on August 14, 1904, in Orum, Nebraska. She was baptized on August 13, 1905, at Orum.

The Petersen family lived in the Orum area for abut five years after Amelia was born and then moved to a farm in McCarthy School District south of Blair where she attended school.

She worked at Crowell Memorial Home for a number of years before marrying R. Floyd Curley on October 22, 1930, at Herman. They lived in Tekamah for one year and then moved to the Blair area where they lived at the time of her death.

She and her husband celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on October 22, 1980.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd R. Curley of Blair; and one son, Norman Curley, also of Blair. One brother, George Petersen of Omaha; two sisters, Sarah Maxwell of Blair and Dorothy Schneider of Kennard; one granddaughter, Nileeta; and one grandson, Noal, also survive her.

Pallbearers for the service were Larry Petersen, John Petersen, Kenneth Baxter, Ronald Novak, Joe Maxwell and Kenneth Maxwell.

Bette Kirk was organist. Homer Nielsen provided the vocal music.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
