Elsie Curley, 93, of Blair, died Monday, June 2, 2003, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at First Untied Methodist church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Elsie Curley was born Aug. 5, 1909 in Cotesfield to Frank and Anna Barnes.

She graduated from Cotesfield High School in 1926.

On March 26, 1930, she married Ole Jensen. The couple farmed in the Herman area for many years. Mr. Jensen died Oct. 31, 1961.

In 1965 she married Thad Curley; he preceded her in death on July 4, 1983.

Mrs. Curley was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blair; was a 50-year member of OES, McKinley Chapter No. 161, where she served as Worthy Matron; was a 50-year member of the OES, Herman Chapter; member of P.E.O., and served as the chair for the Blair Memorial Community Hospital “Tree of Life Campaign” for many years.

She is survived by a step-daughter, Joyce Grush of Laguna Hills, Calif., three nieces, Elna Lassen of Elba, Janice Hochstetler of Dannebrog, Kathleen Glinsmann of Shelton; and a nephew, Howard Barnes of Fort Calhoun; and many friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Thad and Elsie Curley Scholarship at Dana College.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
