MRS. CURTIS, 64, DIES IN LINCOLN FUNERAL HERE FRIDAY FOR FORMER CARRIE RYAN; MANY RELATIVES HERE

Mrs. Carrie Curtis, 64, former resident of Blair vicinity died at 7:15 o’clock Tuesday night in a Lincoln hospital. For several years she had been making her home with a daughter, Mrs. Goldie Gilbert, in Lincoln, Mrs. Gilbert is a former Blairite.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bendorf Funeral Home here, the Rev. Ralph P. Rasmussen of First Methodist church officiating. Burial will follow in Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Curtis is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Gilbert, in Lincoln; one son, Chester, of Fort Crook; three sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Mencke of Blair, Mrs. Mike Larsen of Omaha and Mrs. Clarence Jensen of Fremont; and five brothers, Will and James Ryan of Blair, Jesse Ryan of Herman, Van H. Ryan of Norfolk and John Ryan of Omaha. There is one granddaughter.

Mrs. Curtis, the former Carrie Ryan, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Ryan, well-known early settlers here.
