Fred Cushman was born February 2, 1871 and died June 24 at his home near Spiker, Neb. He was married to Miss Lulu Fletcher, of Blair, July 14, 1898. He leaves a wife and seven children, also a mother and one brother. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. George Smith, of Herman, interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Fred Cushman, of Grant township, died at his home on last Saturday evening after a lingering illness of tuberculosis.

Mr. Cushman was a well known and highly respected farmer, a man who had resided in this county all his lifetime and had been known for his industry and his faithfulness to his friends.

He leaves a wife and seven children, the eldest being a boy of seventeen years of age.

The funeral services were held at the farm residence on last Monday and interment was made in the Rose Hill cemetery.

Rev. Geo. Smith, of Herman officiated at the ceremony which was attended by an exceptionally large gathering of friends, mute evidence of good will and respect they held for the dead and sympathy they held for the bereaved wife and family.

Fred Cushman son of the late S. H. Cushman, of Grant township, died at his home, west of Herman, last Saturday, a victim of tuberculosis. Deceased was born near the old Vacoma store and post office Feb., 2, 1871. He leaves a widow and seven children, his aged mother, one brother, Thomas, and a sister, Mrs. Harry Neff.

Funeral was held at the home, Monday afternoon, Rev. Geo. Smith, of Herman, officiating and interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
