Mrs. E. F. Curry died last Wednesday of cancer and the funeral was held at the home of her mother, Mrs. M. A. Johns, in this city, at 10:30 Sunday morning, Elder Almus Adams, of Omaha, officiating. Deceased was born near Terra Haute, Ind., 56 years ago and came to this state and county with her parents in 1866, They settled on a farm in Cumming City township at first, later moving to the place where A. M. Johns is now living. They moved to this city 33 years ago. Miss Leona was married to Mr. Curry about 27 years ago. They lived in Oklahoma for some time, moving to Newkirk, N. M. six years ago. Besides the husband and mother she leaves three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Free, of Blair township, Mrs. S. A. Bartlett, of Roselake, Idaho and Mrs. George Mehrens, of Santa Rosa, N. M. Also two brothers, A. M. who lives on the old farm, and E. G., of Central City, Neb.
