78-YEAR-OLD CALHOUN RESIDENT DIED AT HIS HOME THURSDAY

Funeral services were held Sunday for 78-year-old Otto Asmussen, who died at his home in Fort Calhoun Thursday, following a lingering illness.

Services were held at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Don Killin officiating. Interment followed in the Fort Calhoun cemetery.

Mr. Asmussen was born December 25, 1879 on a farm southwest of Fort Calhoun and farmed in the Fort Calhoun area until he retired a few years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Mary and one son, John Asmussen.

The Sievers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
