ELMER G. VOSS, 75

Elmer G. Voss, 75, of Fremont, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Dec. 28 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont, with the Rev. Timothy Gierke officiating. Interment was in the Kennard Cemetery.

Elmer G. Voss was born Nov. 18, 1925 in Blair to Charles and Anna (Wiese) Voss. He grew up in Blair, and attended Sunnyside Grade School in rural Blair. He was a 1944 graduate of Blair High School.

On Feb. 6, 1949, he married Delores Jessen at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cedar Bluffs.

In 1949, the couple moved to Kennard, and later moved to Fremont. He worked for Lauritsen's Apiary a number of years before starting at Stormor, Inc., in Fremont, where he worked for 38 years. Mr. Voss retired in 1987.

Mr. Voss was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremobnt, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles # 3215 in Blair.

He is survived by his wife, Delores; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis E. and Pam Voss of Aurora, Colo.; a brother, LeRoy Voss of Blair; two sisters, Gladys Lauritsen of Fremont and Louise Voss of Blair; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter.

Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association. Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
