Cyrus Campbell Chamberlain

Cyrus C. Chamberlain was born at Campbellsburg, Indiana March 14, 1857, and passed away at the home of his son, Charles, March 7th, 1933. He would have been 76 years of age the week following his death. At the age of 21 he came to Nebraska. On March 15, 1892 he was married to Miss Tillie Frank. To this union five children were born. Mrs. Chamberlain died ten years ago on Mar. 7. Mr. Chamberlain went to Arkansas in 1917 where he made his home. He returned here in December. Surviving him are the five children, Mrs. Ruth Valder, Clarence, George and Leo of Tekamah and Charles of Herman. Funeral services were held at two o’clock Thursday at the Presbyterian church at Tekamah. Rev. Frank Reed officiating, and burial was made in the Tekamah cemetery.

C. C. Chamberlain Dies At Age of 75

Cyrus C. Chamberlain, 75, died March 7 at the home of his son, Charles Chamberlain at Herman, after a lingering illness, diagnosed by physicians as carcinoma. Mr. Chamberlain was born at Campbellsburg, Indiana, March 14, 1857.

Funeral services were held at Tekamah, Thursday afternoon, and interment was made in a cemetery there. Many Herman friends of the family attended the rites.
