Funeral services for Irene Kubie, age 71 of Blair, who died at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha May 16, 1990 were held Saturday, May 19, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Rev. Daniel Ritter officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

She had been in ill health for the past two months.

Irene J. Kubie was born on April 23, 1919 at Herman, Nebraska to Paul and Amanda Ruwe Kubie. She received her elementary education in Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1939. Irene worked for Young’s and Lacey restaurants, Wilkinson Manufacturing and later for the Blair Public School System.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Rasmussen and Vera Harper.

She is survived by two sisters and one brother, Pauline (Mrs. Harlow) Freund, Blair; Lucille Roy, El Cajon, California and Vernon Kubie, Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
