Kenneth Kubie, 75

Services were Monday, April 1 at First United Methodist Church in Blair for Kenneth Kubie, 75 of rural Herman who died suddenly March 21, 1991 at Oakland, Nebraska after suffering an apparent heart attack. The Herman Masonic Lodge conducted the graveside services at the Herman Cemetery.

Kenneth W. Kubie was born July 19, 1915 in rural Herman to Will and Martha Kruse Kubie. He received his education at Hillcreek School at Herman.

He farmed in the Herman area his entire life until his retirement. He was a member of the Herman Masonic Lodge No. 222 A.F.& A.M.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy.

He is survived by two daughters, Karen Petersen, Overland Park, Kansas and Beverly (Mrs. Don) Goodyear, Visalia, California; one son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Lisa Kubie of Omaha; two step-children, Mitch McGowan, Fort Calhoun and Michelle Penix, Kennard; two brothers, Raymond Kubie, Lincoln and Harvey Kubie, Merriam, Kansas, and one sister, Gertrude (Mrs. Rolin) Carlberg, Fremont.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
