Vernon A. Kubie, 74

Funeral services for Vernon A. Kubie, 74, were held Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel. Interment was at the Blair Cemetery. Mr. Kubie died Dec. 31, 2000, at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha.

Vernon A Kubie was born April 23, 1926, in Blair to Paul and Amanda (Ruwe) Kubie.

Mr. Kubie served in the Army during World War II. He was employed as a welder at Kelly Ryan Manufacturing.

He is survived by three sons, Kevin of Blair, Dennis of Kennewick, Wash., and Paul of Denver; six grandchildren, and two sisters, Lucille of California, and Pauline of Des Moines.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
