Eli W. Kuhl, 14, of rural Fremont, died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at the Fremont Area Medical Center after a swimming accident near his home.

Graveside services were Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Elk City Cemetery in Elk City with the Rev. Robert Johnson and Rev. J. R. Patterson officiating.

Eli W. Kuhl was born Jan. 19, 1984, in Fremont to Wayne and Gail (Toy) Kuhl. He spent his entire life in the area.

He is survived by his parents, Gail Kuhl of Fremont and Wayne Kuhl of Columbus; brothers, Jason, and wife, Rammara Venneman of McCook, Charles Venneman of Omaha and Jesse Kuhl of Fremont; his grandparents, Fred and Lee Toy of King Lake and Emil and Henreitta Kuhl of Blair and great-grandmother, Betty Venneman of Fremont.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
