Chris Kuhr, 94

Chris Kuhr of Blair passed away August 30, 1987, at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

He was preceded in death by wife, Naomi.

He is survived by sisters-in-law Esther Rasmussen and Ethel Kuhr, as well as nieces and nephews in USA and Denmark.

Kuhr was born November 27, 1892, in Klemensker, Bornholm, Denmark.

He arrived in America March 13, 1915, and served in the U.S. Army in World War One. He was discharged in 1919.

He worked in construction until the mid-1930s and when he returned to Blair and went to work for his brother Martin at the Blair Feed Mill, until he retired in 1965.

He has been a resident at the Good Shepherd Home for the past nine years.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 2, 1987 at First Lutheran Church in Blair at 10:30 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Home or to First Lutheran Church.
