LESLIE C. LE CRONE, 80

Leslie C. LeCrone, 80 of Fremont, died Thursday, July 20, 2000 at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

Graveside services were held July 25, 2000, at the Kennard Cemetery. The Rev. Scott Ross of Jaynes Street Community Church of God in Omaha officiated.

Leslie C. LeCrone was born Sept. 5, 1919 at Kennard to C. J. and Belle (Stewart) LeCrone. He grew up in Kennard and in Omaha and graduated from the Kennard High School.

On April 8, 1939 , he married Nadine “Meme” Morgan in Pampa, Texas.

During his early working years, he farmed and then drove trucks for Herman Brothers. He sold cars for Diers Ford when it was located on Military and Main streets, and also worked in their warranty department of Stan Olsen Motors in Omaha.

LeCrone lived in Arizona from 1971 to 1983, again working in the warranty departments of Ford dealers. He retired in 1983 and moved back to Fremont.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine; four sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Barb LeCrone of Fremont, formerly of Arlington; Michael and Soaky LeCrone of Tucson, Ariz.; Jerry and Bernie LeCrone of Rochester, Minn.; and Robert and Joyce LeCrone of Fremont; and a son, Gene LeCrone of Fremont; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
